Some quick reviews & gets!

Hey everyone! We have some catching up to do don't we! ^^ First of all, my brown extensions came a while ago. They cost $45 for 120 g of 22'' hair! I thought they would be a bit on the good-quality side but I'm actually not super pleased. They seem a bit thin and bunch together a lot, they also shed quite a bit. I've only worn them for about 2 weeks and they are already shedding :( Anyways, here's some photos. They don't look super bunched together because I combed them out.

I wasn't feeling very photogenic this day LOL.

If I had to rate these, I'd give them a 6.5/10. You can purchase them here if you like!

I also bought some curly extensions. These are synthetic hair, and they were the really cheap kind, at $6 each. They actually are pretty good for being only $6. They do tangle easily though, even after one use they start looking bad. :/

I didn't think they looked SUPER obvious until I saw how they look in photos.. oh geez. =__= They look better in real life.. (I hope :S) You can purchase them here.

Moving on to other gets, here's some blingies I have. I bought the mirror already made from Claire's, it was $6 I think. The sticker I bought on eBay here for $7! It's pretty durable!

I also bought the loveliest belt the other day in a small mall. It was $35 but worth it!

I tried creating a rokku-gal look with it, but kinda failed epicly. I put blingied sandals with it because it's kinda hot here right now. I kept the top simple to emphasize the blingied accessories. The belt actually looks a lot bigger IRL!

Also, here was my FOTD with this outfit. Kept it simple with a slight smokey look.

The natural looking contacts I'm wearing are Gothic 3-Tone Turquoise Lens.

Thanks for reading everyone! Coming up, I have a pretty make-up tutorial I'm planning! I'm also thinking of re-doing my whole blog design. Stay tuned lol!

OOTD & New Hair

Hello all! How are you? This is what I wore to school today:
Up close:

Shirt: Love Culture
Necklace: Forever 21
Jeans: Charlotte Russe
Boots: Rue 21
Quite simple, but I thought it was kind of pretty~!
Also, my curly hair arrived today! :D Here's what I ordered:
Brand: Silvi
Style: Clip-On Extension
Length/Width: 50 cm x 23 cm
Weight: 130g
Type: Synthetic
Color: Natural Black #1B

I ordered them on the 27th, so they arrived within 11 days! Shipping was FREE! Guess how much they cost?
.
.
.
$6.98 each!

At first I was a little skeptical because of how cheap they were. I thought there was a catch somewhere! But I ordered 2 anyways, just in case they lied about how thick the hair was. However, when they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised! This hair is really thick!

Also, I liked that it was CURLY like it's supposed to be, and not wavy. It was soft and silky, and not an obvious fake black color! <3 I also liked that it was really long like it said it would be. ^__^
Failed at taking a pic of the back of my hair... ended up with shitty mirror pic. :c
(The top of my hair is pulled up to show off the extensions.)

However, there were a couple things I didn't like.

Firstly, this hair is really HEAVY. I feel like all the weight from the hair is pulling down on my real hair, and it will fall right out.
Also, it seems like it will tangle easily. However, I find that's the case with a lot of synthetic hair! I feel like I'll have to carry a bottle of finishing spray with me when I wear this~

... but overall, I'm pleased with this hair and with the seller! They give you exactly what they say they will! I give this hair 8.5/10!

You can order here if you like! ^__^/

Revlon Synthetic Hair Treatments Review

Hello! Today I'm going to share a review on some Revlon products for synthetic hair.I was looking through a box of my grandma's old hair products that she doesn't use and came across this set of three Revlon products.

I don't know how old these products are, but it I know they weren't recently released. My grandma never used them so she let me have them. I thought I would try them out on one of my old hair extensions instead of the ones I wear now, just in case it messed them up or something.

I ended up using only the first two, because the "Finishing Spray" is just for styling. From the start, I found something that I didn't like. The instructions on the bottles are so vague! The directions for the texturizing cleanser read:

"Add small amount to basin of cool water. Immerse style and soak for a few minutes. Agitate gently..."

I like knowing how much product to put into the water, and for exactly how many minutes. Am I just being too picky?Well, aside from that, something that I really liked is the smell! The products smell kind of like coconuts and pineapple and strawberry! *3* ..

Anyways, this is how my old extensions looked before. (Keep in mind these are about 5 months old and almost completely destroyed.)

I followed the instructions and let them soak in the water with the "Texturizing Cleanser" for a few minutes. Then, I rinsed them off and soaked them in water with the "Dual Conditioner".

While wet:

Anddd.... taaadaa!

You actually can't see much difference, but I guess that's just cuz they're pretty old and past the point of no return LOL. I wasn't expecting a miracle rejuvination or anything. *sigh*

But, I do think the extensions look a bit less frizzy, and more real! (You can't really tell in the picture.) They actually were incredibly easy to brush through! *0* It really did make my extensions soft again! ^w^/

In general, these seem to be really good products! I give them 5/5 stars! They made my hair soft again, more real-looking, and were very very easy to comb. If you want to order them online (I don't know if they're still in stores), you can click on the following links. Thanks for reading!

Quick Bang Review

Another hair review! -__- This'll be the last one for a while, I promise! This one is about a bang that my mom ordered that was originally for her. She didn't like it, so she let me have it.

☆ Product Info ☆
Brand: Yilu
Style: Clip-On Bangs
Material: Synthetic
Color: Black
Price: $5.99 w/ Free Shipping

I was not feeling very photogenic this day, as you can tell.. -__-

I actually don't think the bang suits me very well. :S I think it makes my face look very round and kind of hides me away! In the photo, it doesn't look that bad, but that's because I kind of pushed the bangs to the side a bit. From the front, it looks natural (I think), but if you were to look on top of the head, you would see that it was fake. I don't like how it simply sits atop of your head. It's a bit hard to mix in with your natural hair. You can kinda see what I mean here:

In general, I'm not really a fan of this bang. It's really heavy and isn't easy to mix in with your natural hair. I think it would look better on somebody with very thick luxurious hair!

Yilu Ponytail Hair Extension Review

Hello! This is a bit of a late post. My Yilu ponytail extensions came about a week ago. They cost $7.99 with FREE shipping! :D

Here's the product info:
  • Brand: Yilu
  • Color: #1B (black)
  • Hair type: Synthetic
  • Style: Clip-on
  • Texture/length: Straight/long
Like I've stated before, I originally ordered 2 because I thought that they would be thin. However, I was surprised at the thickness! It was a really full ponytail. ^__^ Very soft too, and it didn't look synthetic at all. Some camwhore pics:

Not very good pics; I look messy after a long day at school!

There are 2 downsides to this ponytail. Firstly, it seems to tangle a bit easily, and it's not very easy to brush! I guess it's okay, but I was surprised that it tangled so easily while being so soft!

Secondly, the securing clip is not very secure. xD I know it's only there for a little extra support, but I would've liked if it at least snapped down. Observe:

In conclusion, the pro's and con's to this ponytail weigh about equally. It's a good ponytail, but you probably shouldn't excercise or jump around in them! In general I like them~

Big Happie Hair Extensions Review

Hello! This is my first review ever  And I'm not quite sure what to do but I'll keep it to the point!

Product Info:
  • Remy Clip-in Extensions
  • Big Happie Hair
  • 100g
  • 22"
  • 100% Real human hair
  • #1B
Yesterday, they arrived! I was SO surprised at the fast shipping! They weren't suppose to arrive til November! I ordered them on October 15. Arrived from Zhejiang in a week! So far I'm liking them hehe~

I was very surprised at the small packaging. When I saw the package, I thought it was something else that I had ordered! It was like a 6x6 inch package! And the extensions are 22 inches~!
Of course, the extensions were folded over multiple times to fit into the packaging. Thus, it created a wavy effect in the hair ~__~ I hate wavy hair so much!!

I'm mad at the company. Seriously, they promise me straight hair, and they know folding it will make it wavy, but they do it anyway.. Also, I was disappointed that the extensions didn't come with a protective case that come with extensions.

Shipping get's a 5/10. It would be a 1, but the shipping was so fast! :O

Total: 5/40

When I open the hair, it was soft and felt like real human hair ^w^ It seemed even a bit longer than 22 inches!  However, it seemed very thin. I wondered if it was really 100g? It seemed like 70g, really! In comparison to my old extensions, it was only a little thicker. My old extensions are about 1/2 the size they were previously. Look:
Very very thin hair! I was disappointed. However, I guess it is really 100g of hair. Maybe I've just forgotten how much 100g is.

Quality of hair gets 6/10. I love the length but it's so thin!

Total: 11/40

When I put in the hair, I liked how sturdy the clips were. They were so strong that they were even a little hard to close! Great clips, none of the sewing was falling apart or anything. It clinged onto my hair very strongly! But, because the clips were sooo strong, it was a little hard to apply.
Application: 9/10

Total: 20/40

This is a comparison shot of my new extensions vs. my old ones. My old ones are about 4 months old. They look so terrible. D:

This is how my old extensions look on me. (I didn't style my hair at all cuz I felt lazy.)

So, so bad! DD: I never put my hair down my back like that because it looked so fake. Here's how my new extensions look:

They don't seem to blend  super well with my hair. Maybe it'll look better after I straighten them.

Overall look: 8/10

Total: 28/40 = . . . . C!

In conclusion, I really have mixed feelings about this hair. It's a bit on the thin side, and I really didn't like how wavy it was. However, I liked the texture/length, how strongly it stayed in my hair, and I really loved the fast shipping! I feel it's a very average hair, nothing special about it. Would I recommend it? Probably not.
